Mike Kas, 62, of Wayland, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Byron Center.
He was born on May 9, 1954 to Peter and Lenora (Schelhaas) Kas in Pipestone, MN. Mike worked as a custodian for Kentwood Schools. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family talking over a cup of coffee and riding his motorcycle.
Mike is survived by; son, Peter (Becky) Kas; daughter, Jamie (Ivan) Davidsons; parents, Peter and Lenora Kas, siblings, Karen (Paul) Jahnke, Pat (Dave) Lodenstein, Duane (Sue) Kas, Glenda (Brad) Thornton, David Kas; three grandchildren, Raven Wade, Aurora Davidsons, Noah Kas, and one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Harry Lodenstein.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct.14, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Wayland, MI. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Kubiak-Cook Wayland Chapel. Burial will take place in the Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to help with expenses. The family request you dress casually to honor Mike’s memory.
