Funeral set Thursday for Charlotte Fein, 79

Charlotte Fein, age 79 of North Dorr, died peacefully in her home Saturday, March 1

Charlotte was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Visitation Parish and very involved in church activities. Her lifetime passions were her family, gardening, and preparing Sunday dinners and desserts.

She graced the Fein Family Centennial Farm with her many beloved flowers.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard “Dick”; their children John (Amy) Fein, Mark (Etelvina) Fein, Melissa Garlough, and Cindy (Andrew) Krumlauf; 14 grandchildren Parker, Anna, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Adam, Lorelai, Abigail, Ellie, Gianna, Faustina, Agnes, Charlotte, Hendrix, and Jacinta; siblings James (Ruth) Irish, Mary Powers, Joyce Mabie, Harvey (Diana) Irish, and Patrick (Karen) Irish; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Marie Irish and her brother, Benjamin Irish.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave. SW, Byron Center, with Fr. Derda celebrant.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center, with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Visitation School, 2455 146th Ave. SW, Byron Center, MI 49315.
