Emmett H. Kadwell, Sr., 90 of Dorr, died Saturday, June 25.
Emmett served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Leighton United Methodist Church. He worked at Kelvinator for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his children Emmett Jr. (Mary) Kadwell of Bradley, Dennis (Joy) Kadwell of Kentwood, Garry (Lori) Kadwell of Sand Lake, and Kathryn (Mark) Deemter of Hopkins; grandchildren Darron (Beth) Kadwell, Keith (Lisa) Kadwell, Stephen (Kayla) Kadwell, Emily (Nicholas) Enz, Nathan Kadwell, Benjamin (Sara) Kadwell, Jacob (Melissa) Kadwell, Jordan Kadwell, Greg Deemter, Brant (fiancee Allison) Deemter and Gavin Deemter, eight great-grandchildren; sister Glendora Kadwell, a brother-in-law and several sister-in-laws, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wives Betty and Charlotte, and his son, Roger.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 27, and a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330 18th St. Dorr.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Leighton United Methodist Church and Wayland Area Ambulance.
