Go Fund Me set up for teen, family in fatal fire

A Go Fund Me web site has been established for the 17-year-old girl who was found dead in a fatal fire Dec. 30 inside a house on Marsh Road, Orangeville Township.

The victim has been. Identified as Corrina Wilbur and the sponsor of the campaign is Heather Champlin of Plainwell.

Champlin posted on Facebook, “They tried to rescue their kids, but their 17-year-old daughter lost her life and their 15-year-old son is in the hospital with burns over 17% of his body. On top of that, they don’t have house insurance, and the house was a total loss.

“I’m respectfully asking that anyone who is able to please donate so we can ease some of the burden that the family is feeling as they navigate a parent’s worst nightmare while dealing with all the other issues as well.”

The cause of the fire is still being investigated by area authorities.
