The Hot ‘n Now fast food restaurant chain has been resurrected by Gun Lake Investments, an economic arm of the Gun Lake Tribe of Potowatomis.
Gun Lake Investments has acquired Hot ‘n Now and plans to open at two locations, one near Gun Lake Casino in Wayland and another in Alpena, with plans to open other eateries in the next several years.
A separate business, called HNN Holdings LLC, is being created by GLI to operate the Hot ‘n Now restaurants and form a partnership with developer Jeff Konczak.
Konczak also owns BCubed, which manufactures modular drive-through buildings, including many for Biggby Coffee.“The Hot ‘n Now brand has a multi-decade history of providing value to consumers and their families,” Konczak said to WOOD-TV Channel 8 News. “We are excited to partner with GLI on the brand acquisition, as they share our commitment to making our offerings accessible to families nationwide.”
He said instead of limiting the menu to a few affordable items, the restaurant’s menu will be priced to accommodate a wide range of households and incomes.
