The annual Gun Lake Winterfest celebration Saturday was blessed with lots of sunshine and temperatures in the 40s, prompting one observer to say it made the outdoor a fun place to be. Adam Johnson was declared the winner of the “Gun Lake Idol” contest, with Roger Jones as runner-up and Melanie and Josh Conley, third place. Chairwoman of the Winterfest is Monte Baker, co-chairs are Kim Bedford and Liz Roscoe, with many valuable volunteers assisting.
