The annual Gun Lake Winterfest’s biggest single day will be Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Gun Lake County County Park on Patterson Road and 124th Avenue.
Featured once again will be the Polar Bear Dip, this year with a reduced entry fee of $10, thanks to sponsor United Bank.
The Winterfest Vendor Market will be held that Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A series of Gun Lake Lake Idol karaoke contests are being held all over the area at restaurants and watering holes (see listings on this Townbroadcast page).
The Birdie Blizzard disc golf competition will get under way from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at 1705 Parker Drive.
There also will be family fun and games, magician Alan Kazan and contests with prizes.
A fishing tournament will take place from 6:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gillett’s Bait & Hardware at 12258 Marsh Road.
Free trolley shuttles to participating restaurants and shops around Gun Lake will be provided.
The chili competition concluded at the end of 2024.
