The Hopkins girls’ varsity basketball team fell to 1-4 overall on the season in a 58-42 nonleague loss to Hamilton Tuesday night.
The Lady Vikings battled Hamilton evenly throughout the first half, but things went south in the third and fourth quarters. They trailed only 31-27 at intermission, but were outgunned 14-8 and 13-7 in the latter two stanzas.
Hopkins was led by Kennedy Helderop with 16 point and Samantha Sebright with 7 points.
