Happy Camper owner asks for help in catching vandals

The Happy Camper RV repair business in Moline has reported a spate of vandalism over the winter and discovered more again within the past couple of days.

Owner Steve Austin said, “Earlier this week we chased some kids out of trailers on our back lot into the trailer park and today discovered smashed windows out of a bunch of cars and trailers.”

He asks that anyone who knows anything about who might be doing this to provide some help.

“It’s gotten so out of hand,” he said. “Every week we have more vandalism, we’ve had a truck stolen this winter, it’s very unsettling not to mention expensive for us.

“Please call 911 if you see anything going on or let us know if you have any idea who might be involved. 616-452-7449.”

The owner is Steve Austin. He has had tires stolen, a truck stolen and stripped (got the frame with motor back from the police), trailers in storage broke into, windows broken. Also the neighboring Moline Ball Park has had vandals breaking things there. I now keep my garage doors locked hoping that would help keep any one from stealing from me as I adjoin both places.
If anyone knows about or sees anything please notify the police.

  2. Thank you so much for the exposure! If anyone has any information, or sees anything suspicious please feel free to call 911 and then call or text me.
