It’s more than just a rumor that the Hillards Corner Lounge, a landmark business for more than a half century, will reopen.
Owners posted on Facebook today, “Hilliards Corner Lounge will official be reopening July 26. A week from Tuesday. Unfortunately, our new cash register systems will not be up and running yet, so we will only be able to except cash to start out. We appreciate everyone’s support and are looking forward to seeing everyone!”
Also reported was that the famous olive burgers and fish fry nights will continue as before, but the Sunday chicken dinners for now are on hold.
The bar and restaurant was shut down and padlocked last April without any comment, but the sign outside the lounge included a cryptic message promising it would reopen soon.
