Take a reusable one quart “plus” glass or plastic container to stack up the ingredients. These tasty cookies can be given out as gifts and are easy to quick whip up. Makes about three dozen.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 cup white sugar

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup miniature M&M’s

Directions:

Have your container ready for stacking. Measure out the ingredients in separate dishes. Stir in the baking powder and soda into the flour. Take one cup of the flour mixture and add to cocoa powder and cinnamon. Whisk together thoroughly.

Spoon about 1/2 the flour mixture into your gift container. I used a small spice jar to pack it and a rubber spatula to push the sides down clean. Next spoon in 1/2 the cocoa mixture. Pack it down.

Spoon in the rest of the flour mixture than the cocoa mixture, packing after each. Add the white granulated sugar, pack the brown sugar, packing, and to finish up the miniature M&M’s to top it off and seal.

I might add that white chocolate chips and chopped walnuts are a good switch up for a change with these also.

Baking Directions:

In a large bowl empty the contents forming a well. Fill the well with 3/4 cup melted and cooled butter along with three large eggs and one teaspoon vanilla extract. Combine throughly. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough on cookie sheet baking at 350 degrees for 13 or 14 minutes.

Enjoy!
