The Hopkins boys’ basketball team fell one point short, 58-57, in an O-K Silver Conference matchup at Grandville Calvin Christian Tuesday night.
The Vikings, with the loss, saw their overall record sink to 8-6 overall and 2-5 in league play. They’ll play a makeup Thursday evening at Wyoming Godwin Heights, a contest that was canceled by inclement weather last Friday.
The Vikings Tuesday night were down by 15 at halftime, but battled back through gritty play. Mason Schaendorf fueled the defensive intensity in the second half.
Tyler Zomerlei led all scorers with 27 points, and Hunter Lewellyn chipped in 14.
