The Hopkins boys’ varsity basketball team ended the regular season Thursday evening on a positive note with a 72-44 victory over non-league opponent Comstock.

The Vikings ended the regular season with an overall record of 11-9.

Seniors Mason Schaendorf and Josh Sapp played big minutes in their last home games as Vikings, scoring 16 and 11 points, respectively. Nolan Smith added 14 points while Tyler Zomerlei chipped in 10.

The Vikings will open Class B district tournament play against Plainwell at 6 p.m. Monday at Otsego High School. The Trojans also have an 11-9 season record.
