Hopkins school district bus driver Chris Stampfler Tuesday was struck by a car while walking and has been hospitalized since.
Stampfler, a driver for Sycamore Elementary, had surgery Tuesday night and again Wednesday. There was placement of pins in her arm, pelvis and ankle and she will be in a wheelchair for about six weeks to keep weight off her left side.
Friend and colleague Vicki Swainston posted on Faceboor, “I don’t estimate any more surgery and feel so overwhelmingly blessed she’s still here with us! Please continue to pray for her healing, those of you who know her know she has the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet.”
