Hopkins FFA wins slew of awards at state convention

Hopkins was selected as one of the top three FFA chapters in Michigan Thursday at the state convention in East Lansing on the campus of Michigan State University.

Stephanie Harvey was slated for state reporter! Katrina Tucker was a star finalist in production and was the sheep production proficiency award state winner. Olivia Coffey was the dairy placement proficiency state winner. Stephany Harvey received a gold award in the diversified livestock state proficiency.

The Hopkins FFA color guard presented the flags. Tyler Moored participated in the state band.

Nine Hopkins seniors receive their state degrees.

Prepared public speaking, extemporaneous speaking, and demonstration finals were scheduled for Friday morning. The Hopkins demo team was named in the top two which means they will be presenting on the main stage of the Wharton Center.
