The Hopkins Area Fire Department Tuesday was dispatched to a field fire in Monterey Township. While clearing that call, the department was dispatched to assist Hamilton Fire and the DNR on a 15-acre forest fire. Area officials were saying as of Tuesday the first risk was high. Then the rains came Wednesday.
