Mikayla Bulich

The Hopkins High School girls’ basketball team now has won two of six encounters on the hardcourt this season, and interestingly, its two victories have been blowouts.

The Lady Vikings Wednesday night blasted Black River 63-28 in a non-league contest. Earlier this month, they blew out Allendale 60-22.
Hopkins started slowly, leading only 7-4 after the first eight minutes, but then kicked things into high gear with a 22-9 advantage in the second quarter and a 29-13 lead at the half.
The gap widened considerably in the third period with a 19-2 burst.
Hopkins was led by Mikayla Bullich with a career-high 22 points and Meghan Schulz with 14.
Black River was led by Haley Griffen with 10 points.
