y basketball team had its season record evened at 1-1 Friday after a 51-19 loss to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian.
The Vikings defeated Fennville 52-44 in their season opener Tuesday.
Junior Taryn Kilbane scored 17 points to pace Hopkins in the season opener. She netted eight of her points in the all-important fourth quarter, as she and Bailey Ballard made clutch scores to hold off a Blackhawks’ run.
