Six of the seven O-K Silver Conference cross-country teams competed in the second league jamboree of the season Wednesday, but the result for Hopkins was the same — second place for girls third for boys.

The Lady Vikings scored 60 team points behind Calvin Christian’s dominating 21, and Belding was third with 69.

Jasmine Fisher returned to form after a subpar performance last week, taking fourth place individually. Calvin Christian took the first two spots and Belding freshman sensation Julia Finley was third. Fisher recorded a five-kilometer time of 20:43.87 at the South Christian Athletic Complex.

Laura Velderman finished 11th, Emma Helder 12th, Alyssa Beilby 17th and sophomore Alexis Zalis 24th.

Todd Henley once again emerged as the individual medalist in the league with a time of 17:00.07. Teammate Dan Rausch was 11th in 18:04.31, Zach Nutter was 16th in 18:48.08, Jake Pastoor 39th and Andrew Hazen 42nd.

Henley, a junior,

has finished first or second in every one of his meets this season.
