“13 The Musical” will be performed on stage at Hopkins Middle School Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 28, 29 and 30.
The plot: “Evan Goldman is plucked from his fast paced, preteen New York City life and plopped into a sleepy Indiana town following his parents’ divorce. Surrounded by an array of typical middle school students, he needs to establish his place in the popularity pecking order. Can he situate himself on a comfortable link of the food chain or will he dangle at the end with the outcasts?”
The show presents a timeless theme of the true meaning of friendship and the difficulties faced by young people every day as they try to navigate the road to adulthood. Set to a score of fast-paced music, the audience will come away singing and with a renewed confidence in the youth of today.
