Hopkins Musical Theatre to do virtual ‘Broadway’ show

Katelyn Williams sings “She Used to Be Mine” from “The Waitress.”

The Hopkins Musical Theater program, its cast, crew and staff, will present a professionally recorded production of “The Best of Broadway” on line next month,

Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sycamore Elementary music teacher Meg Vos and her musical ensemble will offer the program entirely on line and the public is asked to purchase a ticket to watch.

“In the midst of Covid we were able to still put on a safe production, but we need all the help we can get with ticket sales and getting the word out since it’s such a weird year,” Vos said.

“We are so excited to have been able to do a production this year. Once you snatch your ticket you’ll receive the link to view our professionally recorded production. The kids have worked so hard in really difficult circumstances, just like we all have this year… it will be a HUGE gift to them to know the people in Hopkins are supporting them and watching their show!”

The link for the virtual viewing will be sent out Tursday, May 6. The show will be available for viewing on demand from May 6-13. Go to https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScjeNbz3BXtXcFV_AastE3fmREZj0S4qDskRM1VKMz6fRU5Fg/viewform

Tickets are FREE this year, with a suggested optional donation.

Vos is a graduate of Wayland High School and she taught music at Comstock Park. She is the daughter of Glenn and DeeDee Noble.
