The Hopkins varsity volleyball team has completed the first round of competition in the O-K Silver Conference this season with a 5-1 record.

The Lady Vikings’ only loss in league play has come at the hands of Northpointe Christian.

Hopkins defeated Belding in three of four sets Thursday night in its latest encounter to improve its overall season record to 34-15-3. The Vikings prevailed 25-16, 11-25, 25-13 and 25-19.

Logan Brummel dished out 26 assists; she, Macy Arndt, Meghan Schulz and Brianna Miller came up with 11 kills and Mikayla Bulich had 5; Schulz had 7 blocks; Madison Wyngarden had 6 blocks, and Hailey Shank had 13 digs, Brummel 10, Miller 8, Arndt 7 and Wyngarden 6.
