Hopkins Public Schools will deliver a “drive up” graduation ceremony for members of the Class of 2020 Friday, July 24, that will be live streamed to the vehicle and available for those unable to attend.

Hopkins school officials sent an e-mail seniors and parents in the district late last week.

The e-mail read, in part, “As July 24 draws closer we have been monitoring the evolving COVID-19 recommendations. Based on the recently released Return to School Roadmap and our current status of being in Phase 4, we have made some difficult and necessary decisions about our ceremony…

“There will be a detailed e-mail sent to you no later than Friday, July 17. We are in the process of submitting our plan for approval by the Health Department…”
