The Hopkins varsity softball team got off to a strong start to the season Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep over O-K Silver Conference rival Belding.

The Lady Vikings, opening the season on their home field, took a 17-0 triumph in the opener and came back to win 18-0 in the nightcap.

Hopkins will play next at Otsego in a non-league doubleheader Friday afternoon .
