A Christmas season toy drive has been conducted at Hopkins High School and Tuesday students started the trip to make the delivery of toys collected to the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. The drive was spearheaded by Dawson Babiak, the 4-year-old son of of Hopkins teacher Jason Babiak (at left) and Wayland teacher Alison Babiak, who himself is battling leukemia and has been a patient at the hospital. Students with Dawson shown handling toys are Josie Freybler and Julia Forbes. The donations totaled $8,500 worth of toys. (Photo supplied)
