Neither Hopkins nor Wayland will play Monday evening in the opening round of the Division 2 post-season district basketball tournament opening round.
Host Hastings (with an 8-12 record) will play Grand Rapids South Christian (13-7) and Otsego (19-1) will play Wolverine Conference rival Plainwell (8-12) later in the same night.
Wayland (0-20) will play the winner of the South Chrtistian-Hastings contest at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Hopkins (14-6) will take take on the Otsego-Plainwell winner in the nightcap Wednesday.
The finals will be played at 7 p.m. Friday, March 13.
Martin (10-10) will entertain Kalamazoo Phoenix (11-5) in its first-round game March 9.
