This past week has seen temperatures climb above 90 degrees on consecutive days in Wayland and northeast Allegan County. The Leighton and Wayland Fire Departments offered up their facilities for cooling stations and Leighton was caught spraying elementary students at Paris Ridge. Regardless, it was a keen grasp of the obvious to observe that the ever-popular splash pad opened this year in time to provide youngsters and their parents a refreshing respite from some unusually hot weather in May.

When I was a kid we had to run through the sprinkler in the front yard. But back then you could afford your water bill ? Who pays for all this water that just goes into the Rabbit river??
Well….. we agree again. Who pays? The Schmuck Tax Payer, who largely is not involved, even with their local “government”. My opinion.
To all those who are complaining. Seems to me that it keeps kids busy and off the street. So I say
SHUT UP. There is always the complainers no matter what.
