Though two different sets of thunderstorms were most welcome in northeast Allegan County Wednesday evening and Saturday morning, there were warnings of even possibly a tornado making a guest appearance. A tornado did touch down near the small town of Colon,but this area got what meterologist Ellen Bacca refers to as “plain old rain.” Weather watcher Brian Borr estimated that the Wednesday-Thursday downpour resulted in three inches, one broadcast station said Hopkins got just two and a half inches. Another weather watcher, Joan Miller indicated we received an inch of the wet stuff Saturday morning
