Wayland Community Education will offer a hunter safety course Friday, Aug. 28, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug, 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wayland Union Fine Arts Center Grand Hall/Lobby.
Prospective hunters must attend both classes.
Hunter safety is required for those born after Jan. 1, 1960, and who want to purchase any Michigan hunting license, or are planning an out-of-state hunting trip.
Pre-registration is required and the class cost is $10. Participants are encouraged to pick up a course booklet before taking the course and is available at the Wayland Community Education office located inside Steeby Elementary School at 435 E. Superior Street in Wayland.
