Ingredients:

4 lbs lean ground beef

2 tablespoons Italian seasoning

2 eggs

1 minced garlic clove

1 onion 3/4 of it chopped fine with the rest sliced thin

1 tsp. salt

Mix together all ingredients except the flour and shape into steak forms about inch thick. Fry lightly on both sides until crispy browned. Remove steaks from skillet and place in baking dish.

Keep 3 tablespoons of the pan drippings, adding the 2 tablespoons of flour. Stir over low heat until browned and thickened. Add 2½ cups beef broth, stock or bouillon and cook until slightly thickened. Onion can be sliced very thin, and placed on meat patties before you add the gravy and pop in the oven. Pour over steak and bake about 30 to 45 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven until gravy is thickened. Makes 9 steaks. Enjoy!
