It was a bad day for Viking harriers at Otsego meet

It wasn’t a good day for Hopkins Thursday at the This One invitational meet in Otsego.

The Viking boys finished fourth among four teams with 98 team points while the host school won it with 27. The Lady Vikings were third among three with 78 points and once again Otsego won with a perfect score of 15 points.

Junior Trevor Shealy was the top runner for the Hopkins boys, finishing the five-kilometer race in 18:32, good 14^th place. Junior Adam Ball was 17^th in 19:26, followed by junior Caleb Beilby in 29^th, junior Zachary Wisser in 39^th and sophomore Dean Heiden in 40^th.

For the girls, freshman Helena Kerber led the way in 11^th place with a time of 22:37. Senior Alexis Zalis was 19^th, sophomore Neveah Helderop 25^th, junior Mary Wells 27^th and freshman Abigail Zalis 28^th.
