Jayda Gale Distillery awarded DDA facade grant

Progress continues for the Jayda Gayle Distillery in downtown Wayland, as the Downtown Development Authority approved the new company for a DDA facade grant. The distillery and restaurant will replace the old Wayland Carpet and Appliance store at the corner of South Main and Pine Street. It has received small distillers and small wine makers licenses from the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Co-owner Amanda Alfred, who formerly served on the DDA Board, said the new business perhaps can open as early as in the spring of this year. Shown here is the part of the building facing south, which obviously will get a facelift.10665210_1704020156489073_6953114304856165249_n
