The Hopkins girls’ varsity soccer team continues to chase Grandville Calvin Christian for the O-K Silver Conference championship.

The Lady Vikings pushed their league record to 8-1, with their only loss at the hands of the Squires, by hanging on to defeat Northpointe Christian 3-2 Monday afternoon.

Hopkins jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the half, and was able to stay ahead at the end.

Heidi Gilder, Keelan Kilbane and Hailey Shank each scored a goal and keeper Sam Sebright came up with 13 saves.

Hopkins owns an overall season record of 8-4-2.
