Lady Vikings come from behind to defeat Godwin 5-2

The Hopkins girls’ varsity soccer team came from behind Monday evening to defeat O-K Silver Conference rival Wyoming Godwin Heights, 5-2, in two overtimes.

Scoring goals for the Lady Vikings were Hailey Shank, Keelan Kilbane, Heidi Gilder, Taryn Kilbane and Arika Hoffman. Recording assists were Taryn Kilbane, Erin VanSingel, Keelan Kilbane and Kaitlyn Dudek. Sam Seabright had five saves in goal.

Hopkins, now 2-2 on teh season overall, fell behind 2-1 at the half, but rallied to force the extra sessions and then prevailed.
