Meghan Schulz led the Lady Vikings with 19 points.

 

The Hopkins girls’ varsity basketball suffered its third loss in as many tries this season Tuesday night at home against Comstock Park in an 85-63 verdict.

The Lady Vikings were very competitive in the first period, leading 16-15, but the host Panthers scored at least 20 points in each of the next three quarters. They mounted a 36-29 advantage at intermission and used a 26-15 run in the third period to start the final eight minutes with a 62-44 cushion.
Hopkins was led in scoring by senior center by Meghan Schulz with 19 points and Mikayla Bulich and Kennedy Helderop both had 13Comstock Park had four players in double figures for a balanced offensive attack, led by by Taylor Cegelis with 16 points.
