The Hopkins girls’ varsity basketball team finished its regular season with a 6-14 overall record with a 35-30 triumph over visiting Kelloggsville.

The Vikings were 5-5 in the O-K Silver Conference and they will begin district tournament play March 2 at Otsego.

Hopkins led 8-6 and 20-15 after the first two period stops. The two teams played evenly the rest of the way, but the Rockets failed to score in double figures in any of the four quarters.

Baylee Roys scored 12 points to lead the Lady Vikings and Shelby Michael scored 13 for Kelloggsville.
