Lady Vikings hope clutch hits continue

The Hopkins softball team will need to continue its clutch hitting this afternoon when taking onVicksburg in another non-conference game, weather permitting.
Hopkins has had the knack for the big hits this season, driving in 24 batters with two outs. Ava Vanderkolk leads the team with five two-out RBIs.
The Vikings lost to Otsego 9-4 in theoir last outing. 
MaKenna Funk has played two positions for Hopkins. Her primary position is left field. Funk has driven in a run in the past six games. The left fielder has hit 6-16 and driven in seven runs and she will try to extend an eight-game hitting streak. The outfielder has hit .450 during the streak.
Funk has hit for power this season with one triple and one double among Funk’s nine hits.
Hopkins has a record of 4-4 overall thus far this season. Cami Hibma‘s 1.591 OPS leads the Vikings. The infielder has a 0.650 OBP and a 0.941 slugging percentage this season.
Hannah Brinks leads Hopkins on the mound with 22 and two-thirds innings pitched. The starting pitcher has a 3.40 ERA this season.
Lyla Reynolds leads Hopkins defensively with 46 total fielding chances this season. Reynolds’s primary position is catcher. About
