The Hopkins girls’ track team is rated No. 7 in the first power ratings report of the Michigan Track Coaches’ Association (MITCA) this spring. Benzie Central is rated No. 1 in Division 3. MITCA took best times and individual performances and scored them in a way similar to a state team meet. The Lady Vikings will get a huge test in the O-K Silver Conference with a dual meet at Grandville Calvin Christian, their chief rival virtually every year in the league, but Belding brought solid credentials to the league as a new member this year. Hopkins defeated Belding in a dual meet earlier this month.
