The Hopkins varsity volleyball team defeated Allegan Tuesday night in a non-conference three-set sweep, 25-12, 25-23 and 25-18.

The Lady Vikings and the Tigers were playing in an annual “Volley for the Cure (Against Cancer)” fund-raiser.

For Hopkins, Logan Brummel had 19 assists; Meghan Schulz had 9 kills and Macy Arndt/Brianna Miller/Brummel 5 each, Mikayla Bulich/Ashley Bultema 3 apiece; Hailey Shank had 3 aces, Mikayla Bulich 2; Schulz 3 blocks, Bulich/Bultema one apiece, and Shank had 14 digs, Brummel 11, Bulich and Kennedy Helderop 6.

The Lady Vikings’ overall record now is 38-17-3 and they were 8-3 in the O-K Silver Conference.
