Perhaps the Hopkins varsity softball team members have been watching too much Detroit Tigers baseball on TV.

The Lady Vikings led 6-4 going into the top of the seventh and final inning Friday afternoon before the defense somehow collapsed and allowed Grand Rapids Covenant Christian to score seven runs en route to an 11-8 come-from-behind victory.
The Crusaders scored seven runs in their winning rally with five singles, one error by Hopkins and a hit batter.

Hailey Burch threw all seven innings, for the Vikings. She gave up 11 hits,yielded no walks and on one hit batter.
HannahVanDeRoovart had a home run, double, and a single with 2 RBIs, Ky Winchester had a double
Courtney Dusseau had two singles, Kristi Lenard had a single with four RBIs and Kelley Kloska had a double.

Hopkins now owns a 17-9 record for the season overall.
