It isn’t very often when Hopkins is able to beat Grandville Calvin Christian on the volleyball court, but the Lady Vikings turned the trick Thursday night in an O-K Silver Conference matchup.
Hopkins lost the first set 26-24, but then roared back to win the the next three, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-21.
In individual statistics, Logan Brummel came up with 31 sets; Brianna Miller led in kills with 11, Macy Arndt had 9, Meghan Schulz 8 and Ashley Bultema 7; Schulz had 5 blocks and Mikayla Bulich 4;
Brianna Miller and Mikayla Bulich had three serving aces each and Brummel 2; Hailey Shank had 19 digs, Bulich 13 and Logan Brummel 12.
The Lady Vikings’ overall record now is 17-10-2 and they are 2-1 in O-K Silver Conference play.
