The Hopkins varsiimgty volleyball team defeated five opponents Saturday at the Lawton Invitational to capture the tournament title.

The Lady Vikings defeated Bridgman 21-14 and 21-19 in the finals after getting past Fennville and host Lawton in the Gold Bracket rounds of play.

Hopkins split with Bridgman and topped Saugatuck and Lawton in pool play to advance to the Gold Bracket.

Hannah Van de Roovaart came up with 85 assists: Van de Roovaart had 24 serving aces, Lexi Merren had 10, and Mikayla Bulich/Hailey Shank 7.
Lexi Merren led the way in kills with 50, Meghan Schulz had 19, Mikayla Bulich 16 and Macy Arndt 9. Merren had 35 digs, Mikayla Bulich/Hailey Shank 28, Van de Roovaart 26, Schulz had 13 blocks and Macy Arndt 5.

Overall Record 7-5-1

In the West Michigan Volleyball Association (WMVOA) Invitational Friday, the Lady Vikings lost in pool play, to Wyoming, Ravenna, Grant and Covenant Christian, won twice in the Silver Bracket over Allendale and Ravenna before losing to Covenant Christian in the Silver Bracket finals.

Van de Roovaart had 103 assists and 15 aces,
Merren 58 kills and Meghan Schulz 28; Hailey Shank 44 digs, Lexi Merren 34, Mikayla Bulich 31, Van de Roovaart 23 and Meghan Schulz 3 blocks and Logan Brummel 2.

Hopkins has an overall record now of 7-5-1.
