Lady Wildcat bowlers seeking help for team member’s cousins

Wayland girls’ vAlicia Sweeneyarsity bowling team members are planning to help the extended family of one of their own and they are asking for help from the community.

Junior Alicia Sweeney’s cousin and family (a mom and dad and two boys, 11 and 2 years old) lost their home and everything inside to a fire Sunday near Ludington. Fortunately, no one was injured. The home was insured, but not the contents.

“The girls, as a team, have decided to do what they can to help the family get back on their feet,” coach Bill Holbrook said. “We are asking for your prayers and any help you might be able to give, however big or small.  We will be taking donations through Friday.  Money, clothes, toys are just a few of the needs we are collecting…

“If you know any of the girls on the team you can give your donation to them or you may message me and I will make arrangements to pick up your donation.”

For clothing, the mom wears M-L shirts, 9-10 pants and size 8 shoes. The father wears XLT-2XL shirts, 38-34 pants, and size 15 shoes.  The 11-year-old son wears 10-12 pants, 14-16 shirts and size 7 shoes. The 2-year-old son wear 24mos to 3T.

“Anything you can help with would be greatly appreciated by the Lady Wildcats, Alicia and her parents and her cousin and their family,” Holbrook concluded.
