imgThe Lady Wildcats’ soccer team’s overall season record fell to 1-2 Thursday in a 5-1 loss on the road at Jenison.

“The game was much closer than the score indicated though, with the girls having some close chances in the second half to cut the score down,” said coach Ben Sleeman.

Wayland trailed just 2-1 at the half.

The lone goal was scored by Ali Cutler, her second, and beautifully assisted by Brinley Nieuwenhuis. Paxton Granger made fivesaves and faced 10 shots.

The Lady Wildcats look to get back to winning ways Saturday at home vs Byron Center.
