The Wayland girls’ varsity soccer team posted an 8-0 shutout victory Monday over Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills in an O-K Gold Conference matchup.

The Lady Wildcats scored seven times in the first half.

Goals were scored by Ali Cutler (5), Madie Aylworth (3), Ashlyn Schafer (4), Emily Gray (2), Lynnsey Hooker (2), Mckenna Bruin (3), Brinley Nieuwenhuis (5) and Amber O’Connell (1).

Wayland’s overall season record now is 5-7-2.
