The Wayland girls’ soc
cer team beat Ottawa Hills 8-0 Monday to bring itsrecord to 4-3-1 and 1-1 in O-K Gold Conference play.
Brinley Nieuwenhuis scored twice and Haley Thelen, Madelyn Gray, Ali Cutler, Lynnsey Hooker, Hanna Moulenbelt and Sarrah Sweeris all added one goal apiece. Assists were made by Ali Cutler, Hannah Anderson and Megan VanHees.
Wayland has 22 shots on goal, eight of which found the back of the net. Ottawa did not have a shot on goal and Hannah Anderson/Mickala Kohtz shared duties in goal and shared the shutout.
