The Wayland girls’ varsity soccer team lost a suspended match against Middleville Thornapple Kellogg Tuesday night, 2-0.

“After weather forced postponement of the match with the score 2-0 in favor of the Trojans, the Wildcats took the field again in an attempt to come from behind Tuesday night,” coach Ben Sleeman said. “Unfortunately, despite playing well and having a few good opportunities, the score remained unchanged after playing out the final minutes of the first half and the full 40 minutes of the second.”

The loss brings the Wildcat’s overall record to 4-6 (2-5 in the O-K Gold Conference)

The girls travel to Hopkins Thursday evening before having aweekend to rest and recover as they begin the final two weeks of their regular season.
