Start spreading the news — Bill Holbrook’s back in town next month. Holbrook, Michigan’s Division 2 Coach of the Year, took a leave of absence in late December to coach the NCAA Division 1 Midland (Neb.) bowling team, and its most recent result was a championship performance at the Hoosier Classic in Indiana. His duties will conclude after the end of this month and Holbrook has promised the Lady Wildcats he’ll be back in March in time for the regionals. While he has been gone, boys’ coach Sherry Milkusicak has been doing nearly double duty, with assistance from Mike Omness. The girls scarcely have missed a beat, fashioning a 15-2-1 overall record and are rated No. 5 in the state, just like last year.
