The Wayland varsity girls’ basketball team cruised to a 52-21 triumph Tuesday night at home against Middleville Thornapple Kellogg.

The verdict left the Lady Wildcats with an overall record of 14-3 and 8-1 in the O-K Gold Conference. They continue to lead the league by one game in the standings.

Sophomore Harmony Laker scored 14 points, including a three, to pace the offensive attack again. Senior guard Maddy Terry swished three threes and finished with 13 points, Liberty Laker had 10 points with one three and Reese Coughlin added nine with one three.

The Wayland boys earned a 60-47 victory at Thornapple Kellogg, improving their record in the O-K Gold to 4-5 and 9-6 overall.
