Coach Chris Drew commenteimgd that “The Wayland varsity girls struggled with the trees at Yankee Springs (Golf Course), but worked hard to finish strong.”

The Lady Wildcats finished in sixth place in the third O-K Gold Conference golf jamboree of the season at Yankee Springs, the home course of Middleville Thornapple Kellogg. East Grand Rapids won the competition with a team score of 186 and South Christian shot a 190. Wayland had a 211, ahead of Wyoming in the seven-team field.

The Wildcats were led by seniors Alexis and Hunter, both shooting a nine-home score of  48.

The Wayland girls will be at home Wednesday for the fourth jamboree of the season, at Orchard Hills.
